If you could have any career in life as you know it now, what would it be?

Nurse

I want Dave Attell's job as host of Insomniac. Actually, anything that involves visiting exotic places and getting to know what the people there consider mundane.

im studying civil engineering, so hopefully that is something i will end up wanting as a career. I've always been active or interested in doing service type work, and people are surprised when i tell them i m studying engineering cos they always expected me to go into something like social work. But, im still fascinated by bridges and roads and things like that, so i guess the perfect career for me would combine all that.

When I grow up I want to be a personal advisor for Connexions. Connexions is basically the careers guidance service for teenagers in the UK, so the job involves helping teenagers find the right course/job for them, as well as advising parents, and talking to colleges and universities, and employers and all sorts of things. But first I have to finish my course, and get "a year of relevant experience" ... whatever that may mean!

Reba, 57

ok, well i'm still young and I think I can do any type of work I'd want to do. So I'm trying to get my business skills sharpened and open a brewery. And if that doesn't work out I guess I'll be a rock star.

I'm pretty happy with the career choice I've chosen, as an Environmental Engineer/Scientist. I love nature. I suppose I wouldnt mind being Park Ranger, though...living out in the middle of no-where...being the caretaker of a beautiful natural environment, like Baxter State Park...maybe
someday!

Tam

The one I currently have -- providing technical support to Habitat for Humanity affiliates in eastern New England.

I have to do a job that accually exists, i would like to be a Photographer.Working in advertising would be cool, or even working for national geographic. Then i could travel, and meet interesting people. Cause now I just feel that there is more to the world than I know, evpeshally from school, i would like to learn it myself.

I'd be a psychologist with my own private practice, internationally recognized for my work. I'd also be a published fiction writer, and on the side I'd either perform in musical theatre or as a clarinetist in a symphony or orchestra. (Ambitious, eh?)
