Where does tension find a home in your body?

Stomach mainly.

Alias Irrelevante

Oh definitely my shoulders and neck. Ugh. A nice hot shower sometimes helps but mostly it just has to work its way out.

Tension like general stress, or tension like tight muscles? Right now I have sore muscles in my hands because I did 5 hours or something of data entry today. . .but when I'm tense in general. . .I don't know. Probably still my hands. When I panic, though, my legs tense up.

In my neck and in my head... when I'm very tense or stressed out, I usually get a migraine. I've learned to control my stress and not let many things get to me because the headaches were so bad. The less stress, the few headaches, the happier I am. Works pretty well.

My neck. Oooowww!

In my neck.

Tension lives in my shoulders and neck. I often describe the feeling as feeling like a railroad spike has replaced my spine. Fortunately, since changing jobs in October, my level of stress has been greatly reduced.

My back muscles, my neck muscles, my digestive system and the padding of fat

My jaw, neck and shoulders definitely.

Tension finds a home in my hands. When I'm tense, upset or anxious...I have to move my hands, do something with them...tap my fingers, twiddle my thumbs, do dishes, doodle..anyting that keeps them busy!

Tam

in my MIGRAINES

When I get tense, my stomach tightens up and hurts quite a lot.

Reba, 57

In my lower back.

Laura, 38

In my neck and head.

I do not stress and tension does not have a home in my body. I am too relaxed about life in general. However, on the occasion that my heart rate does race for a fleeting moment, a nice size pimple will plant itself within the warmth of my face. UGH!

Stephanie, 27

Most often in my stomach. I keep Pepto in business (well, my mom does, but I'm close)

My entire body is one big ball of tension. Mostly it settles in my neck, shoulders, and lower back. My boyfriend, quite talented at massage, spends a lot of time working all the knots out, only to have them all come back the next day.
