What are you thoughts on taxes?

A necessary evil.

Jane, 63

I would pay more of them in exchange for universal healthcare.

I don't think I have any thoughts on taxes at the moment. We paid them.

Don't like them. Plus I wish that the US would be like most of Europe and put the full price including taxes on items at stores/restaurants, as it makes life a whole lot easier.

Ryan, 29

I never dwell on them. They are just a fact of life.

A necessary evil. Although I feel they need to be reworked and a bit more fair. Equal distribution through out the incomes.

I think the government contains some of the worst bookkeepers ever known. I also think they should shop around a little more when it comes to buying WMDs. Seriously, if third world countries can buy them they're obviously paying a lot less than what we are.

There's gotta be an easier way to fund the government. I favor a graduated income tax with absolutely no exemptions or adjustments.

Taxes are important because they pay for services that our government should provide. I am not happy that in the US, the current tax laws allow corporations to get out of paying their fair share. Twenty-five years ago in Massachusetts, corporate taxes made up close to 20% of the state revenue stream. Now corporations contribute something like 6% of the revenue stream.
Guess who is making up the difference?
