Do you ever wear sunglasses for reasons OTHER than to keep the sun out of your
eyes? I
wear it to avoid notice by international assassins. No, i dont wear sunglasses at all
actually.

Not really. Maybe when my eyes are dilated
and I need to keep ALL light out, but that's a technicality. Or am I supposed to say
"I wear my sunglasses at night. . ."? (That song gets old fast, by the way.)
Karen, 22

Not really. I don't wear them much at all
because I keep losing them.

Hmmm... I guess I sometimes keep them on
when I don't need them, especially if I'm with friends- there's a certain feeling of
security if I've got them on.
Jeremy, 14

Never. I don't like to wear
sunglasses. I can't see true colors with them.
Judy, 62

Sure. I have prescription sunglasses in
addition to my regular glasses. My eyes are also very light in color and therefore very
sensitive. I often wear them even on an overcast (or squinty - as I call it) days. I don't
wear them to disguise myself though, if that's what this question is all about.

I usually do when I think I might cry.
Actually, any time it is light out I wear them, weather in the sunlight or not.

No, never. Other people think I do,
because they are full of assumptions. For example. One of my family members was ill so much I had to call the Ambulence to my home. Well that afternoon I
had gone to the eye doctor. My eyes were still sensitive and dialated, so I was wearing
sunglasses. When the police got there thet thought I was high on something. So they were
talking to me like I was out of it, when I was so with it they could not comprehend it.
Comunication was very hard. I was cool and collected. They were pumped and excited. They
were expecting me to be the same way. I followed them to the hospital because I knew it
was a life or death situation and they had the patient, and they would know the fastest
way to the hospital, but they slowed down so I could follow them to the hospital. I am
thinking if I have a patient in the back of my ambulence and it seems to be a life or
death situation. I would say fuck the relitives I have a job to do. Get the patient to the
Emergency room. All this because an eye exam and a pair of sunglasses.

Sure. Either because I've been crying, or I
have a migraine. I used to wear them to hide black eyes, but I realized that it *wasn't*
my fault, and I *did* deserve better than that.

Only at night to keep track of visions in my
mind. Cuz you don't mess around with a guy in shades, oh no. Ok, no, seriously, I don't
wear sunglasses very often and the only time I do wear them is when it's sunny out and I'm
driving or playing softball or some other reason to keep the sun out of my eyes.

Yes, I sometimes do. When my allergies are
bothering me, light bothers my eyes so I wear shades.

I wear glasses and they automatically tint
when I go out into sunlight.

Of course! I'm that cool! Actually,
yes..sometimes it's just to hide my eyes. I'm kind of quiet and reserved. Feel more
anonymous that way.

Not really. I wear them to keep the sun out
no matter how I am feeling...normal, hungover, leaving the eye doctor, etc.

Occasionally
I did wear huge shades...so one could not see my eyes...my reasons can best be explained
by 'The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be' Bret "the
Hitman" Hart...When he first got into the business, he wore shades so he would not
have to look at the crowds...or look people in the eye...I can empathize there...

I've worn them occassionally for costume
parties where I show up as some sort of hippie punk. Sometimes I get lazy and just don't
take them off when I enter a building. A guy I worked with one summer wore my
sunglasses (they're prescription lenses) for a few hours because he said they made him
feel high.
Hikaru,

I
don't really like sunglasses in general, because I don't like how everything
looks kind of green, and the glare on them givesme a headache. But sometimes
I'll wear them if I think they'll compliment an outfit...but never on
my head!
