Have you ever met (in person) anyone that you met on the internet?
Yes. I used to
be the administrator for a BBS for work and subsequently met many people
in person whom I'd initially met on the BBS.

Loads of people.
I'm a member of several forums, and we've organised a few meet-ups at
concerts and such. I've met about twenty people that I first talked to
on the internet.

Yes. A couple years
ago I was a member of Weight Watchers Online and through their message
boards I met a woman who was interested in some of the same things as
me. We have corresponded ever since. She lives near Houston and when Bill
and I flew to San Diego in October we had a layover in Houston so she
drove to the airport so we could meet. It was a wonderful
experience that I'll never forget.

Yes, I met one
person about 5 years ago who turned out to be a complete jerk. I am planning
on meeting another person very soon, though. I've been talking to her
for quite a while and hope she is as wonderful in person as she seems
to be online!

In the late 1990s
I went through a spate of internet dating and yes, I did meet several
people whom I initially met on the internet. Never were they anything
like their internet personae. Interestingly enough, I have one enduring
friendship. He was a co-worker of someone I met on through the personals
online. The romantic relationship with his friend died a quick death,
but I have become good friends with the officemate. We write most everyday
and talk once a week or so and we have never met in person.

yes, loads! I run
a message board which is mainly posted on by a fairly small uk goths,
so whenever any of us have a party the rest of the group is invited, and
we arrange to meet when we go to festivals and things. I've never met
anyone who turned out to be particulary different from how I expected
them to be either, which is fantastic :)

Ad a matter of
fact, I met my wife on the internet. So, I guess the answer would be an
emphatic, "YES!"

Entirely accidentally,
yes. I was in a restaurant with a few friends, telling a story about a
random mishap that my roommate had in our apartment the day before. Incidentally,
I had ranted about this event in my livejournal earlier. A few minutes
later, I heard an unfamiliar voice behind me call out my livejournal name.
Turns out that one of the girls who reads my journal (who happens to live
in the same town as I do) was at the table right behind me. She heard
the story, figured that it was too much of a cooincidence for me to be
anyone other than, well, me, and decided that she should introduce herself.
I've also talked on the phone to one of my internet-friends, and have
made plans (which always fall through, boo) to meet others.

Yes,
Kalli and Kodence. My friend Phill met Dave his soul mate on the internet
over five years ago (and they're still going strong). Linda's Dad has
had some difficulties with people he's met on-line (particularly the woman
he married). I think it can be good, you just have to be smart and safe
about it.
