Do you ever talk to yourself?

Frodo:Of course...it is the most interesting coversation you will ever have:
Mick: Shut up Frodo...you want people to think you are even more of a freak than they already think you are:
Themistocles: Would you 2 shut up...(at that point Themistocles unsheathes his sword, and stabs Frodo in the stomach, and then lops off Mick's head with his sword.
Will: Hey, is this any way for identities to behave?! Will asks, and leaps into action. He grabs a shield and hits Themistocles across the face with it. Suddenly, Lerch, Caligula, and all of the identities, leap into the fray, and a bloodbath erupts. People are wildly stabbing each other with
swords, spears, and axes. Frodo gets a glancing blow on the shoulder with a spear, which knocks him. In the chaos, he picks up a axe, and slaughters the other identities, and stands on top of the fallen corpses...

Yes...usually when I'm at work. Lots of us do there actually... must be some strange desire to constantly remind ourselves that we are higher up on the food chain, although for some ~ not much higher.

In my head, often. Out loud, only occasionally.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

I do. But I don't usually answer or hold conversations.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

Not whole conversations or anything. Usually when I need encouragement or if I have done something incredibly silly.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Rarely. Usually it's just a sarcastic "Nice move, kid!" when I've done something klutzy.

Now and then...and later, a little while ago. Fairly often I guess.

Alias Irrelevante

I THINK to myself, but I don't think I ever talk to myself.

All the time. No contradictions that way.

Laura, 38

all the time ... and to inanimate objects, and to imaginary friends ... Contrary to popular belief talking to yourself is meant to be a good way to deal with difficult situations and things if I remember correctly. I suppose that's because it lets you practice saying things, so that they come out right when you need them too.

I generally talk to the dogs, but I have been known to give myself very stern lectures when necessary.

All the time! They say it's like free therapy. That sounds good to me:)

All the time, I just talk to myself in my head but the problem is that I still talk to myself in my head but my hands move to prove my point. My kids used to ask me what I was doing when I was driving and moving my hands but not saying anything. They just laughed at my when I told them.

Sure. And I answer myself. I do some of my best thinking out loud. I ask myself where I have left things. And I have been know to have a streaming dialogue with me.

Janet, 45

yup. All the time.

Very nice. I was shy and he said that he'd take it slow -- that we didn't even have to kiss (yet) if I didn't want to. Very much a gentleman and I appreciate(d) it.

Keri-Jade, 23

All the time. It's the only way for me to have a sensible conversation. (lol)

Sure, doesn't everyone?

Reba, 57

Only when the voices are talking to me... wait...they're telling me to "kill" right now. I have to go.
