What was your first kiss like?
I was 15. It was
a "tougue kiss" and it was wet. Yuck! I got grounded because
a neighbor saw us and told my mother.

Pretty unmemorable.
I was 11 at the time, and he was no one special. I mainly did it because
of peer pressure.

*sigh* This is
a touchy subject with me. My first romantic kiss was on my fingernail
(my fingernail was hurt and this guy who was almost my boyfriend kissed
it--and then made me kiss his fingernail in return). That is what I like
to count as my first kiss, because it was sweet. We were off by ourselves,
and I felt great. My first "romantic" kiss on the lips was when
a guy (who, I might add, I was trying to break up with--I'd already fallen
for someone else) pretty much cornered me in an arcade at an amusement
park. There were tons of other people around, and I just felt dirty. That
was followed by a number of other kisses where his tongue was jammed down
my throat and then he told me I was a bad kisser! My first kiss with the
love of my life was wonderful. I was excited and hopeful, and he was the
best kisser I'd ever kissed (he still is!).

I don't remember
my first kiss, but I sure remember my first French kiss. It totally grossed
me out. I said something romantic, like, "Yech!"

I recall my first
kiss being sneaky. I was afraid someone might see me as I was at an outdoor
bazaar. It was one of those quick, let's just get it over with kind of
things... I think I was about 12. Can't remember. Clearly, it didn't leave
much of an impression.

I was about 7,
she was an older woman (14, a friend of my sisters). She had braces. I
don't remember much of a thought process or anything on my part, just
kind of went along with it, but everybody thought it was a cute little
scene.

On a beach in the
moonlight, very gentle, very sweet.

It was the oddest
circumstances. I was maybe 13. I was at a backyard campfire with a bunch
of friends when one of our crew up an disappeared. I remember us all running
around the neighborhood looking for her when I met up with one of my good
guy friends. He grabbed me and kissed me pretty passionately and then
continued running. I was a bit stunned, but I too kept
searching. We found the friend who was being a prankster and that was
that.

I'll never forget
my first kiss. I was about 12 and my boyfriend and I were slow dancing
in a deserted spot. He gradually slid his head around until his lips were
on mine. I remember clearly that I was thinking "Pay attention girl!
This is your first kiss - and it's wonderful!"

My first boyfriend
was wonderful - spoiled me for all thereafter. Our first kiss was in an
empty Sunday School room before class in church. He went to a different
high school and we met at church. We used to go to that classroom and
play Carole King "Tapestry" album before Sunday School. We had
been holding hands for a couple of weeks, so the kiss was, well, er, heavenly.

i remember being
asked a similar question here before, but my first real kiss was ok. I
liked it, my girlfriend at the time though it was gross. I think I was
13 and she was 14. I've had a lot of better kisses since.

If I recall, it
was like kissing a fish... wet and sloppy. I got better at it.

Pretty unexciting.
I was fifteen and didn't have a clue.

God,
I was my daughters age. If any one tells her I will kill them. It was
so perfect then because I finally got kissed but looking back I think
that I was just stupid for letting him kiss me just to be kissed.

My first kiss was
with Lenny Wolf in 5th grade. It was just a peck on the cheek. But I was
thrilled.

The boy had braces
and kissed me so hard that his braces cut my lip, so I guess it wasn't
all that pleasant for me!

I want to thank
your website for cheering me up. I need to explain. Throughout my life,
I've only kissed people on the cheek and other "innocuous" places
such as that. In fact, if I were to be in a romantic relationship with
someone, I'd do the same. Well, until a few years ago, I thought most
people understood this to mean something. But I've found out in the past
few years that many
people consider what I do and would do to be meaningless, that it doesn't
"count".
People seem to have a "hierarchy of affection", in which a hug
means you're acquaintances, a kiss on the cheek means mere friendship,
and a kiss must be on the lips to be considered romantic, and so forth.
But on your site (found via search engine), I saw that some people included
these other "places" for their first kiss. One young woman was
kissed on her fingernail, and the counts this. Another was kissed on the
cheek and remembers it very fondly. Thank you.
Post this if you can. I don't feel as lonely now.
