Do you forward email chain letters that promise good luck or bad luck, or delete them?

Delete them.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

Depends on the content. If they are funny or for a great cause I usually send them.

Stephanie, 25
TX USA

I delete them.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

I delete them

Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA USA

I only send them on if the story/poem is good. Sometimes I even delete the part about how many people=how much good luck before I send it!

Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA

I delete them. They are annoying as all heck..

Kevin, 35
Sugar Hill, GA USA

To be honest with you, I absolutely hate getting those ridiculous e-mails. Usually, I'll open them up, read a line or two and as soon as I come to the part that says I need to forward it on or that I can't break the chain because bad luck will come, I hit the delete button. Makes me even more irritated when they come from good friends or family that know better than to send me that crap.

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

I delete them.

Tam

I would have to devote valuable seconds of my life to do that so, NO.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Write them off as spam. Same deal with the joke threads and things like that.

Alias Irrelevante

Delete them. They're ridiculous and a waste of time. On occassion, I'll pass on part of one if I find it relevant -- one that has one of those inspirational messages that hit the right chord in me, for
example. But I almost always get rid of the "Forward this to 25634 people before this time tomorrow or else you won't have any friends!"

Hikaru, 19

sometimes

Hoochie

I read them, chuckle, then delete them.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

I delete them, as they are a nuisance.

Laney, 60
TX USA

I delete them. Chain letters are no less offensive for being sent by e-mail, only more convenient for the sender.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

I delete them. I don't believe in 'luck'

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

I delete them. Always. Without exception.

Laura, 37
Lowell, MA USA

I delete them. And I read somewhere that those things are illegal in the U.S. because saying that your luck won't be as good if you don't forward them constitutes a threat.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

I delete them without hesitation. Cluttering up cyberspace with superstition is most unseemly.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

I hate chain letters, especially the ones that try to guilt you into forwarding them. I almost always delete them.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

Delete them. They are crap.

Talia, 25
Tallahassee, FL USA

I just delete them

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

I do not forward chain letters. I know there is nothing to them and also it just backs up the emails in friends boxes and they are all Hoax's.
