When you go to the gas station, do you usually fill up or just get a certain dollar amount?

I usually fill it up.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

I usually fill it up...unless I've left my house without my purse or wallet and desperately need gas...in that case I scrounge all the change I can from the glove compartment, floor and between the seats, usually ending up with about $3.19 worth of gas and hoping that it gets me home!

Tam

I always fill it up.

Felicia, 36

Fill up every time...it's better for your car! Even if it's not really, it sounds good:)

I fill the tank.

Laura, 37

No.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

Usually I fill up. The one thing I do, however, that causes an argument between me and my husband, is that when the pump cuts off, I don't try to squeeze more gas in to round off the figure. If it lands at 20.97, that's where it stays.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

I 98 times out of 100 fill up the car.

Janet, 45

Cara, 18

I fill up. I have never just gotten a certain dollar amount, except maybe when I was getting gas for
somebody else and they gave me the money.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

If I'm running low I usually get between £10 and £15 worth. Petrol is about 75p per litre so I can't afford to fill up every time - I just wait for my parents to do it!

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

I fill the tank.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

Usually fill up.

Ryan, 29
Morton, IL USA

I almost always fill up. I used to let my tank go near empty, then throw in $10 each time, until I learned that's not so good for the car! Now I fill it up again at almost a quarter of a tank.

Fisch, 47

Stephanie, 25

It depends on how much money I have. If I just got paid, I'll fill up. Otherwise, I usually only spend $5 or $10.

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

I always fill 'er up. I try to round it out to an even number when the pump clicks off, but I hardly
ever stop it before it's full.

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

I always fill up. I'm terrified of running out of gas, and I mean, you're going to use the gas anyway, right?

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

I always fill up at the gas station. I hate to always stopping for gas.
