What is your most treasured possession?

If you can possess animals, my dog Milo would be the treasure. If not, it would be a stack of old family photos.

At this moment it's my just bought teacup Chihuahua. We named him Peso and he weighs one pound and shouldn't be more than four pounds when grown.

Independance (yeah, it's a cheesey answer but it's accurate).

That depends on what you mean by possession...Of course, it goes without saying that The Legendary Big Guy Sarge...my beagle of 14 years...was totally awesome...however, I did not
consider him possession...if anything, he owned me, not the other way around...of course,
Axl was totally awesome too...as were all of my pets...far too many to list in this question...
According to my definition of possession...I would have to say it is a tie *

A) Anything I have written...especially the long things (in the hundreds of pages)...in which the first draft normally takes at least two years. Now, granted it is pure crap, but it is my 'pure crap.' Oh, well, that did notcome out too well...whatever...The bottom line is I know how much blood, sweat, etc...I put into what I write...In fact, there is a great quote by writing...although I do not know who said it....it goes 'writing is easy, just stare at a blank sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead.'

B) All my books...in particular, the Oddysey, the Iliad, Catcher in the Rye, and Lord of the Rings...I love most of my books...I have a ton of them...although they are not for show...I at least attempt to read all of them...I may not succeed all of the time...but I do try...for example, The Warren Report is the most coma-inducingly boring thing I have ever

This is a hard question because there's so much junk in my house that would count as possessions, but I would have to say my pictures. That's what I would try to grab if there was a fire/flood!!!

Tracy, 24

My most treasured material possession is probably my car.

I'd say my kids, but they're not my possessions. Maybe my soul, but you probably meant a concrete noun. I guess it's my house. I studied hard before I went looking for it, I took an interior design class to be able to decorate it, I painted and wallpapered, I caulked, I paid for all kinds of repairs. It's got a gorgeous deck, a good location, room for the kids when they come home from school, and it's got a small enough lawn that I no longer have to drive a John Deere to mow it!

My dog, Tip. It doesn't quite seem right to call him a possession, but I do own him, I suppose. Everything else is material stuff. Things I like, things I adore, but things. "Treasure," now that carries a lot of weight. Tip has been with me through many bad romances, long nights at work, miles and miles of walkin' and always he is the first to greet me in the morning and when I come home from work. His eyes light up when he sees me. He is sleeping on my feet right now (he weighs 88 pounds). He loves my husband and the new dog and three cats that have come into our life in the last two years. Tip is the first to know when I am upset and he comforts me by resting
his head in my lap. He is a treasure. But I think he possesses me.

I don't know. I have a lot of treasured possessions. The first one that pops into my head is my security blanket, Pretty. But he has probably been part of the family too long to be considered a possession.

Karen, 23

My sense of honor.

Jill, 61

I don't treasure things too much, although I have some that I inherited that I like. I guess I'd have to say my Rottweiler, Lattimer.

Judy, 62

Most of what I treasure is not material -- it is the people I love and the good memories I have amassed. I am, however, extremely fond of a locket that my grandfather gave my grandmother on their wedding day.

Jane, 63

I honestly couldn't begin to answer this one. I sure do love my computer and my collection of LPs CDs and cassettes though!

Fisch, 47

I think it would be my photos.

Janet, 45

My fiance- (and my cats)

Stephanie, 25

I guess my most treasured posession is my cat, Alexandra. I also think a lot of my camera - never go anywhere without it.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

I can't really say I have any "treasured" possessions. I'm not into material things much. I'm more happy with my life with my new family than I am about any one thing I own.

my diamonds

Hoochie

A professional camera, a chromonica from Germany, and a silver watch w/ a pink face -- all that my stepfather has given to me. Something about the gifts he gives me have such a special meaning.

Melodi, 19

That's really hard. My memories? Or my photographs. I'd say my friends and family, but you don't really possess them, do you?
